I love thrift shops!

As I mentioned yesterday, I love thrift shopping! I went to Goodwill, and in this town, there is only 1... and its not great. I went to find my father-in-law a new wool sweater, which I do every year. He wears them until they break!
On my unsuccessful mission to find him a sweater, I found some other awesome things!

Some size 7 L.L. Bean leather, moccoson style shoes, with flexible rubber peiced sole. A Tshirt that fits me perfectly. A pink/salmon suede coat that fits me perfectly. A wool dress for Aleigh, NEW! 2 organic cotton Tshirts for Jaide. And.....
A beautiful wool blend, purple cabled sweater, and a pink wool blend sweater, for upcycling. A 3 piece 4T suit for Colin (best friends son), two 4T Tshirts for Colin. A new book for Jaide (not pictured). And....

And! A Vera Bradley wallet!! New condition! Only $5!!!

Holiday Sewing

I love shopping at thrift stores and scouring for great items! Recently I found a pretty, soft wool blend sweater, which I thought would be cute for a Christmas outfit.  Out of it, I made Jaide some leggings to go with her Christmas dress. The dress was my dress for my 2nd Christmas, made by my mom!
Out of the sleeves of the sweater, I made a newborn set of longies and a hat.

I also was able to finish a custom order. Three dresses, and three leggings for three sisters!

A Day of Fun And Play!

No crafting got done today (Wednesday, this is posted a day late), but lots of fun was had!  We spent the day in Bowling Green visiting friends and my brother's family. I forgot I had the camera half the time, but I did get pics of the kids at the park playing!
Annleigh's hoodie was made by my best friend Erica, and we LOVE it!

And my awesome market bag made by Erica!

Where I do what I do!

When I read a book, the story plays in my head like a movie. I am able to make up the setting, and what it would look like in my head.
This morning, I thought, well, as they are following along and reading my posts, I want them to be able to picture where I do what I do!
So! This is the comfy loveseat at my in-law's house, where I sit and do most all of my knitting, nothing special.

I keep my yarn in two totes behind the lamp table, one with my scrap yarn, and one with my full skeins. Its an attempt at keeping my little corner tidey, and works pretty well.  I keep my patterns, books and needles in a sturdy bag, that stands upright, and has a pocket for the needles.

And as Im sitting and knitting, not only do I get to watch my father-in-laws HUGE TV, but I get to look at the beautiful Christmas decorations!

There you go! That gives you a little peek into part of my story setting ;)  I will work on getting pictures of where I sew as well, so you can see where the magic happens!
